New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may suspend the two players who were caught in a TV sting operation admitting to spot-fixing in IPL.
According to Times Now, the BCCI is likely to suspend T Sudhindra and Shalabh Shrivastavafrom all forms of cricket.
Sources added that the decision will be taken in the IPL Governing Council meeting that is scheduled to be held later on Tuesday.
On Monday, a sting operation carried out by India TV showed five domestic-level players, representing various IPL franchises, apparently succumbing to the lure of fixing.
“I fail to understand whatever is being said about spot-fixing. The voice in that telephonic conversation is not mine. It is very easy to frame anyone with a doctored audio clip,” Shalabh Srivastav said.
In the sting, he names a domestic cricketer in Kolkata Knight Riders, who shifted from the Kings XI, and a Pune Warriors player, who shifted from Royal Challengers Bangalore, claiming they were paid in black by franchises.
