Islamabad: Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani, who resigned from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Senate on Tuesday, is expected to join the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, local NNI news agency reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the senior politician from Balochistan might announce joining the Imran Khan-led party during a rally on April 20 in Quetta.
However, The News Tribe tried to contact the senior politician but his cell was off.
Raisani resigned from the PPP and the the Senate, upper house of parliament , for what he said being neglected by the party in decision making and reluctance of leadership to address the problems, facing Balochistan.
Political analysts are of the view that the resignation of Raisani would prove to be a disaster for the party’s efforts to settle Balochistan issue.
The PPP leadership including Senate Chairman Nayyar Bukhari has been trying to persuade Raisani for not relinquishing the Senate seat and the party.
