Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islama –Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday said US Ambassador Cameron Munter told him that written agreements between the United States and Pakistan didn’t exist .
Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Munter, the Maulana said that every step towards peace would be appreciated but, he told the US envoy that the way leading to war would not be adopted.
He said Munter told him that Washington was ready to negotiate Pakistan’s new outlines on foreign policy. Fazl said that Pakistan would establish relations with other counties on principles instead of fulfilling their whishes.
he said that the US and Afghan government had been holding talks with the Taliban.
Answering a question regarding his party’s position on a bill on domestic violence the JUI-F Amer said though, no one would favour violence, his party would not let any bill against the Sharia passed by the parliament.
