Rawalpindi: Despite no international cricket team is agreed to play in Pakistan, the country’s most popular and widely watched Faisal Bank Super Eight Twenty20 tournament will begin on Sunday (today).
According to The News Tribe correspondent, Pakistan eight best domestic teams will participate in the tournament, scheduled twice in the PCB yearly calendar.
The tournament will continue till April 1st. at Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi.
Eight teams drawn in two groups will featuring in the tournament, Lahore Lions, Faisalabad Wolves, Karachi Zebras, Karachi Dolphins, Sialkot Stallions, Lahore Eagles, Peshawar Panthars, Rawalpindi Rams.
The winning team will receive Rs.2.5 million as prize money and the runners-up Rs.1 million.
Sialkot Stallions will defend the title which defeated Rawalpindi Rams in the final of Faysal Bank National T20 championship in October 2011.
