Karachi: Mohajir Quami Movement (MQM-H) Head Afaq Ahmad on Monday said that MQM chief Altaf Hussain received gratitude money from banker Younus Habib along with former army chief Mirza Aslam Baig in his (Afaq’s) presence.
Talking to journalists after holding talks with Sindh United Party (SUP) head Syed Jalal Mahmood Shah, Afaq said that Altaf Hussain had (rather) personally asked for money from Aslam Baig, and during this meeting it seemed that as if everything had been pre-planned.
Elaborating the recent disclosures of ISI’s disbursement of graft in Mehrangate (Bank) scandal, Afaq disclosed that while announcing his (Afaq’s) faction of MQM even he had asked for Rs 5 million from Mehran Bank chairman Younis Habib, over the reason, that “if you (Younis Habib) can dish out lump sum to a traitor (Altaf Hussain), I see no reason why you cannot do the same for me (Afaq).”
Afaq Ahmad vowed to record his very confession in the Supreme Court also, if summoned.
