Kabaul: At least two people were killed and four injured in a suicide attack at the entrance to the Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan, media reported on Monday.
The media reported that bomber targeted a Nato vehicle at the entrance of Air Base where copies of the Quran were burned last month, sparking outrage and deadly protests across the country.
Taliban insurgents claimed the bombing, saying it was in revenge for the burning of Qurans at the base two weeks ago.
US officials and President Barack Obama apologised for the burnings, saying that the Qurans were “inadvertently” put in an incinerator.
