Islamabad: The Senate, upper house of Pakistani parliament, on Friday unanimously approved a resolution against the Nato attack on Pakistani outposts in Mohmand Agency that led to killing of 24 soldiers.

The resolution was tabled by  Opposition Leader Maulana Abdul Ghaffoor Haidri. The resolution noted that the Nato attack deserved condemnation as it was an attack on Pakistan’s sovereignty.

The resolution said that Nato attack would not be tolerated and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation’s justification would not be accepted in this regard.

It noted that the attack also violated international law.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s foreign minister said fundamental changes needed in terms of engagement with the US.

She said that Pakistan’s sovereignty would not be compromised at the cost of peace and stability in others countries.

She said decision of suspending Nato supplies was taken by the federal cabinet.
