Islamabad: The Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) on Wednesday demanded the government to explain Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon’s visit to London with Dr Zulfiqar Mirza.
Talking to media outside Parliament House after meeting with Prime Minister, Babar Ghauri alleged that Dr Mirza is being provided protocol.
He said that MQM has expressed its deep concerns over displaying of weapons in Dr Mirza’s convoy before leaving for London, adding that MQM have deep concerns over Shajeel Memon’s visit to London with the former home minister.
Earlier, MQM delegation led by Farooq Sattar called on Prime Minister Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gillani.
During the meeting the delegation comprising MNA Farooq Sattar, Babar Ghauri and Nadeem Ahsan expressed deep concerns over Zulfiqar Mirza’s statements and display of weapons in Sindh province.
Babar Ghauri said that PM Gilani has ensured the delegation to take notice of the issue.
Meanwhile, another MQM delegation led-by Raza Haroon also called on Chief Minister Sindh.
