Islamabad: Majority of the Pakistani’s dissatisfied with electricity suppliers in country.
According to survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan a nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces were asked the following question “For supply of electricity to your house, how much satisfied or dissatisfied are you with the performance of suppliers such as Wapda, KESC or IESCO?”
Responding to this the level of dissatisfaction with load-shedding problem is 82 percent whereas level of satisfaction is 18 percent. For faulty meters, dissatisfaction level is 67 percent and satisfaction is 31 percent. Similarly level of dissatisfaction for unstable voltage is 69 percent whereas satisfaction is at 29 percent. Also for irregular billing level of dissatisfaction is at 51 percent and satisfaction is at 48 percent. However overall dissatisfaction is 72 percent and satisfaction is at 27 percent.
There are notable rural and urban differences in the figure about ‘Extreme dissatisfaction’. The proportion of extremely dissatisfied is higher in Rural (53 percent) than Urban (31 percent).
