Islamabad: Lawmakers from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) scuffled in the National Assembly during the fiery speech of opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar.
Local media reported on Thursday that the MPs rushed towards each other when Nisar said that the MQM had sold its faith for power.
He alleged that Muttahida was a fascist party which terrorised people. He added that the group would not be allowed to do so in the house.
Lawmakers from both the sides traded barbs during Nisar’s speech, which brought the proceedings of the house to a halt.
MQM MNAs raised the issue of Ayesha Ahad Malik on the floor, which provoked the N-Leaguers.
