Karachi: The Supreme Court of Pakistan will announce its verdict in the suo motu case on the Karachi target killing here on Thursday.
A five-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, comprising Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmani, Justice Ghulam Rabbani and Justice Ameer Hani Muslim  had completed hearing and reserved verdict on September 15.
The bench in its interim verdict had directed the police to submit its daily bases report on Karachi violence to the court and ordered the trial courts to decide cases of target killing and extortion on priority basis
The bench remarked that police men were being killed and the government did nothing. The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) also gave briefing to the court during the hearing.
