Lahore: A large number of people staged huge protests in many parts of the country against unscheduled and prolonged load shedding on Monday, while PML-N decides to give complete support to the protesters.
President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif announced that PML-N would stage mass protest against the load shedding.
Large part of the country remained without electricity due to continuous power shutdown.
Managing Director (MD) Pepco has said that we are facing around 3,000 megawatt shortfall.
The enraged protesters in Lahore, Quetta, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan and Sahiwal burnt tyres, blocked roads set ablaze vehicles of 1122.
Five police officials including DSP were injured due to stoning of protesters in Gujranwala.
Sources said that protesters in Khewra staged a protest on motorway and suspend the traffic.
