Islamabad: The intelligence agencies of Pakistan have evolved a new security plan to ensure security of the parliament house.
The National Assembly Secretariat sources told that under the security plan, all the parcels, mail and packets would be subjected to stringent scrutiny measures before they reach the house. These will be cleared after they are checked through X-ray machines.
It has been made mandatory for the person who brings the parcels to provide his name, CNIC No. and office card.
Bringing parcels and smoking by the guests in the parliament has been banned. Smoking will also be prohibited in the offices located in the parliament house. It has been also made mandatory for the staff of the house to display office card conspicuously.
