London: The vice Ameer of TTP (Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan), Maulvi Fakhir has announced that only Shoora (religious parliament) would decide the fate of abducted children.
Talking to BBC, Maulvi Fakhir said that he would however use all his best influence to secure the release of these hapless children, and despite the fact that it would take some time, a solution acceptable to all parents and resolving political differences between masses and Taliban would definitely be sorted out.
Fakhir was also critical of the fact that masses should also act prudently and avoid forming committees (self-defense lashkars, etc) on official directives.
He said that government wanted to portray a false picture of peace and harmony in Bajour agency, similar to that of Amman Mela (peace carnival) in Swat; hence it forced a truckload of children for a joyride.
He said that he would also caution TTP to avoid any extreme steps in this regard, and refrain from taking any steps that might jeopardize public support for them.
It is pertinent to mention here that 30 children, who had crossed into Afghan side from Bajour Agency borderline, by mistake had been abducted by Taliban; whose spokesman has announced that only official shoora of Taliban would decide about their fate.
The Shoora has been known to have started ‘its investigations’ into the matter.
