Islamabad: Increase in remittances and exports are continuing resulting in swelling of profit of running accounts.
The State Bank reported an increase of $ 50.20 million in running accounts during the month of June 2011. the exports during this period amounted to $25.48 billion. While the imports stood at $35.63 billion.
The trade deficit in the last year had been $10 .70 billion with the deficit in services being $2.13 billion. Due to $ 15.80 billion in current transfers, the running accounts remains in surplus.
