Lahore: A local court on Saturday approved interim bail of Pakistani cricketer Imran Nazir till June 22 in a kidnapping case and ordered him to submit Rs 50,000 surety bonds.
Nazir was booked by Lahore police for his alleged involvement in a kidnapping with his accomplices. The cricketer appeared before judge Shahida Parveen and prayed through his lawyer that he was innocent and did not try to kidnap anyone. On this the judge approved his bail before arrest till June 22. A police official told The News Tribe that Imran Nazir with his accomplices tried to abduct a man form Mazzan Chowrangi.He said that the man was abandoned far from where he was lifted. “The matter appears to be some personal enmity and will be resolved soon as both the parties were in talks” the police official told requesting anonymity as he was not authorized to speak to the media.
