Islamabad: Nawaz Sharif, chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, while rejecting the government announced commission has demanded of the government to impalement the unanimous resolution of the parliament on Abbottabad incident in letter and spirit.
Addressing a press conference after chairing his party’s parliamentary group meeting, he said that it had been decided in the unanimous resolution that the independent commission would be constituted after consultation between Opposition leader and Prime Minister. But the prime minister even did not bother to intimate those, who have been named as member of the commission let aside the opposition leader.
He deplored that the unanimous resolution of the parliament was not being implemented, asking the government to implement the resolution completely and in letter and spirit.
He also demanded constitution of judicial commission on the Naval base attack in Karachi.
Condemning the killing of journalist Saleem Shehzad, he demanded of the government to form a judicial commission into his killing and share the findings of the commission with the nation. Terming Saleem as martyr, he paid tribute to him for his bold journalistic work.
He also demanded the government to share the findings of the joint investigation team’s report regarding the killing of another journalist, Wali Khan Babar, who was assassinated in Karachi early this year. He also mentioned the killing of unarmed Chechen national in Quetta by FC and police and said PML-N was closely monitoring the investigation into the cold-blooded killing by security personnel.
