Karachi: CID police claimed to have arrested six Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan activists and also recovered weapons in Karachi.
Superintendent of Police, CID, Fayyaz Khan said that six terrorists of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban group, Ali Mehsud, Mumtaz Mehsud, Saeed Mehsud, Khaliq Tokhi, Gul Zaman and Saleem Afghani were arrested from the Baldia Town, Manghu Pir Road and Landhi in Karachi.
According to the officials, the terrorists were involved in kidnapping for ransom, police encounters, drugs smuggling and illegal transportation of arms. They used to support the TTP with the money earned through the above mentioned criminal sources.
