NASA has said that it will try again next Monday to launch Endeavour on the next-to-last space shuttle flight. It will be the second try to send Endeavour on its final flight. On April 29, an electrical problem prevented the shuttle from blasting off.
The trouble was traced to a switch box. The box was replaced, and technicians installed new wiring that bypasses the original circuitry.
The six-man shuttle crew will head by Commander Mark Kelly. He has married to Republican Gabrielle Giffords, who was critically wounded in Tucson in January. The congresswoman’s staff said she will return for the next launch attempt.
Endeavour is loaded with a $2 billion particle physics experiment for the International Space Station.
