Islamabad: Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday rejected the media reports as baseless, wherein it was stated that Musharraf had struck a deal with the United States to let American special forces kill or capture Osama bin Laden inside Pakistan even without any prior intimation.
Musharraf’s spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said Tuesday that news reports claiming Musharraf and then US President George W. Bush had such an understanding are baseless.
No such agreement was signed during Musharraf’s tenure and there wasn’t a verbal understanding either, he claimed.
He said Musharraf had always rejected US requests to launch raids in Pakistan
