Karachi: “Bell rang and some teenager student, entered into a temporary class room. Just after their arrival they sat at stage where some typical wooden chairs were placed”.
Don’t get confused. This is not a real scene usually seen at any rural school of Pakistan or at any Yellow school; these teens were a part of P&G’s ceremony of launching MISSION TALEEM at Park Tower a favorite shopping place of upper class Karachiites.
“P&G in partnership with Pakistan State Oil and Anwar Maqsood will provide 100 scholarships to students from various parts of the country via lucky draw” said Anwar Maqsood, renowned artist, comedian and anchor of many TV programs while talking to the media and guests present on occasion.
According to official release by P&G “families are feeling the pressure and find themselves cutting expenses, we have more and more children dropping out of schools due to lack of their families’ abilities to sustain their educational expenses”.
“Every two out of three students drop their school at middle stage due to several reasons,” Faisal Sabzwari, country manager P&G Pakistan said.
“Mission Taleem is a convergence of our corporate and brand programmes that continue to consistently provide quality education”.
“If we ask about education to our rulers then they must called it Mission Impossible but P&G make it Mission Taleem with the heartwarming moto Parhey ga Pakistan, Barhey ga Pakistan”, earlier Anwar Maqsood said.
