Islamabad: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan along heading a rally is on his way to Peshawar to stage a sit in against US drone strikes inside the country.
The PTI chief has asked all the political parties to participate in the party’s protest for the sake of country’s sovereignty. While leaving for Peshawar he said that the US drones have been killing innocent tribal people in drone attacks. He said 25 five innocent tribesmen, including women and children were killed in Friday’s drone attack in North Waziristan.
PTI activists from all over country have gathered at Naran Garden in Hayatabad area on Saturday morning, commencing sit-in to register protest with the government against US’s drone attacks on Pakistani land and would continue till Sunday evening.
PTI’s activists from Hazara Division joined Imran Khan-led caravan at Hassan Abdal while more activists joined them at Attock, Jehangirah and Nowshera places.
Nato containers and tankers have been halted in Punjab keeping in view the PTI protest.
