Srinagar: Dutch Parliament, the Folketing, will debate the current situation of Kashmir, disputed territory between Pakistan and India, at a special hearing in Copenhagen on May 4, 2011.
The purpose of the hearing – being organised by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Dutch Parliament – is “to enhance the general public awareness of the conflict and political situation in the disputed Kashmir among members of the Dutch Parliament and in the Dutch public.”
It is also intended to discuss the security aspects of the Kashmir conflict. The half-day long hearing will include basic introduction to the Kashmir and a panel debate on “Kashmir in a regional security political context,” the daily newspapers of occupied territory quoting source reports. ”
