Lahore: All Pakistan CNG Association and Petrol Pumps’ owners shut down their stations throughout Punjab for unannounced period of time irking the masses.
Several petrol pumps were seen crowded with vehicles in Rawalpindi, Lahore and Islamabad whereas consumers faced serious difficulties hereon Wednesday.

The infuriated consumers said that government’s policies never facilitated common man. Government must comfort common people rather ensnare them in troubles.
Petrol pumps remained over-crowded with vehicles till late night whereas petrol supply was suspended after 12 am which affected citizens the most. People were seen carrying bottles filled with petrol.
Public Transporters especially taxi-drivers drew fares of their will in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Strike was observed, on CNG stations, in different districts of South Punjab.
Chairman CNG Association Fayyaz Gilani said that it was decided in a meeting with Punjab Government to suspend gas supply for one day only after 15th March but government hadn’t implemented its own decision yet.
Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association Ghias Paracha said that they submitted several applications to President, Prime Minister, Petroleum Minister and MD Sui Northern for the solution of the above said matter but to no avail.
At least 267 CNG Stations would remain shut throughout that may affect around 30 million people throughout Punjab. Sui Northern officials said that the main reason behind short fall increased due to gas-theft and low supply to the system. They added that gas supply would be restored as the situation get better. Gas-thefts cost them two billion rupees which they paid to OGRA.
Experts opined that if a ten year plan won’t be devised now, then industry would suffer the most and it would affect billions invested in the respective sector.
