Jammu: Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Shah welcoming the latest thaw in Pak-India relations has maintained that without the presence of Kashmiris’ true representatives, the talks between the two countries would remain inconclusive.
According to Kashmir Media Serivce, Shabbir Ahmad Shah was addressing telephonically from Jammu a convention held by the Kashmir Centre at Birmingham in UK.
He reiterated that the people of Kashmir would continue their struggle till its logical conclusion.
APHC leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi in a media interview in Srinagar said that the amicable resolution of the Kashmir dispute was imperative for durable peace in the region.
On the other hand, forceful protests continued in Rafiabad area of Baramulla against the recent killing of a youth in the area.
Authorities have admitted that 218 Kashmiris were arrested, Public Safety Act during the last year’s uprising in the territory. An official document said that these included 57 Hurriyet activists.
Moreover, seven Indian troopers were injured when a grenade exploded in Nowshera area of Rajouri.
