Jaffarabad: A blast derailed four bogies in Jaffarabad Tehsil of Balochistan province of Pakistan, while train driver sustained injuries in shooting after the explosion on Friday late night.
Local police said that the bomb was planted near Dera Allah Yar railway track that exploded when Quetta Express bound to ‘Quetta to Peshawar’ reached near the spot. Soon after the explosion unidentified miscreant open indiscriminate fire on the train, resultantly the train driver sustained bullet injuries, police said. The miscreants managed to escape from the scene.
Four bogies of the train derailed after explosion and big hole opened near the track. According to railway authorities, the device was remote-controlled while the passengers remained safe due to slow speed of the train.
Train services have been suspended after the incident.
Heavy contingent of police and Frontier Constabulary have cordoned off the area and also started rescue operation.
