Islamabad: A local court on Saturday extended physical remand of former religious affairs minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi in Haj corruption case.
Kazmi was produced before the court amid tight security.The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) official said that the extension in remand was requested to the court as the agency had to still recover the embezzled amount and to carry out further investigation to arrest Faiz Ahmed, an accused of Haj scam.
The FIA official said that bank accounts and property of Hamid Kazmi has already been frozen.
Hamid Kazmi was on 10-day physical remand that came to an end today.
