Karachi: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik Monday said that terrorists wanted to divide the nation on religious basis but their evil intentions would be foiled.
While talking to media persons at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport after arriving from London, he said all reservations of Muttahida Qaumi Movement would be resolved. He went to London to meet MQM Chief Altaf Hussain to remove MQM reservations after a controversial statement of Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza.
Malik said that Pakistan People’s Party, the ruling party in Pakistan, wanted to promote the policy of reconciliation. He said PPP and MQM are good friends and would not fight each other.
He said that Mirza is a senior party member and doing his job very well. Some elements used political parties to shelter their criminal activities, he added.
