Oslo: Social networking websites are not only source of communication between individuals and organizations but also a place of spreading their ideologies and sometimes many are blocked.
But Norway police security service (PST) said that Facebook and other social networking websites are causing to promote extremist attitudes internationally.
PST chief Janne Kristiansen, who is also a government minister, presented the agency’s annual risk assessment report which stated the Islamic extremism is one of the top dangers ahead of country security which is causing worries among government officials and its top most priority is to overcome the attitude.
The chief said the numbers of such people are less who supports Islamic extremism however some activities of a few groups were also witnessed who could cause the bigger threat in the present year.
Without mentioning any solid reasoning the Norwegian security organization said the Facebook, Tweeter and such other sites are becoming more dangerous through extremists’ attitudes for country’s security.
In addition to, the usage of such social network sites are becoming more and more vital for those who propagate extremist ideologies and thoughts in the name of promoting religion, the report stated.
The report said that the chances are very low for people to meet at any topic of a website by various and diversified opinionated people. So, the extremists have got opportunity to promote their ideologies in more and more glorified manner at social networking sites while law proceedings in accordance with rule law remains worthless.
It is interesting to mention that the report surprisingly overlooked the rising trend of sexual intercourse from human to animal and particularly focused the religious aspect which is causing unrest among Catholic and Muslim communities in the country.
PST chief Janne Kristiansen said that a very few people in Norway visited Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen and such other countries where they had wanted either to take part in arm resistance or get militancy training.
Norway is a North European country and its 500 troops are deployed in Afghanistan. So far luckily no terrorist incident happened for the last decade. The country, having the deadly rising rate of such mothers who are without marriage, arrested three suspicious persons last year who were resident in Norway.
They were reportedly charged that they were part of the bomb attack plot.
