Karachi: Twin blasts occurred at railway track, injuring one person and damaging the track in Shah Latif Town of the Metropolis, home to at least 20 million people.
Police said that the two blasts occurred at railway track, creating 2-inch deep crater and suspending traffic. However no casualty took place in the incident.
Police and rescue workers rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
The Senior Superintended Police (SSP), Railway, told The News Tribe that police have launched an inquiry into the incident.
At least five bombs hit railway tracks in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Ghotki and Mehrapur  last Friday.
Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza had ordered a probe into the blasts but there were no immediate arrests in this regard. Unknown miscreants are frequently targeting railway tracks in the province.
