Islamabad: Former State Minister for Ports and Shipping Nabeel Gabol has agreed to withdraw his resignation on Friday after meeting with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
Sources said that Nabeel Gabol called on PM Gilani and expressed his concerns over interference in his ministry.
The sources said that the prime minister phoned Awami National Party Chief Asfand Yar Wali in the presence of Gabol, adding that the former state minister has said in his recent statements that the ANP chief was involved in hatching conspiracies against him.
The prime minister asked Gabol to continue his office and assured to remove his concerns.
It may be mentioned here that the police on Wednesday raided the house of  Sardar Nabeel Gabol in Khiyaban-e-Ittehad, Defense Housing Authority, hours after he resigned as minister of state.
Sources said that the former state minister had accommodated 40 persons from his constituency in various grades in his ministry. An unspecified number of persons from Grade 15 to 17 were sent home recently.
Meanwhile, sources said that orders have been issued to remove Nabeel Gabol’s name from the Exit Control List.
