Swat: Awami National Party (ANP) local leader Mukarram Shah has been killed in a blast targeting his vehicle in Swat valley of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtonkhwa.
Police said that the remote controlled explosive device was planted on a roadside in Manore area of the vally, adding that the device exploded with band when Shah’s vehicle passing through it.
“The vehicle of the leader who was also a member of the Aman Committee [peace committee) destroyed completely in the explosion,” Abdulla Khan, the DIG Swat, told news reporters.
 He said that Shah was on his way to Manglor when the incident occurred.
ANP Chief Asfandyar Wali strongly condemned the incident and demanded the interim government to provide security to the leaders and candidates of his party.
He said that the ANP leader were being targeted by the terrorists.
