Islamabad: The tripartite talks among Pakistan, Afghanistan and the US would be held on August 2 (Tuesday) in Islamabad.
According to media reports, President Obama’s Special Representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan Mark Grossman would participate in the talks, while Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar would represent Pakistan and Afghan deputy foreign minister would participate on behalf of his country.
The issues like US forces pullout from Afghanistan and dialogue with the Taliban would be discussed during the tripartite talks.
The militants’ attacks in Pakistani areas from Afghanistan’s side would also come under discussion during the talks.
Mark Grossman would also meet Pakistan’s political and military leadership, including the Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff.
