Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday asked the management of Karachi Electric Supply Company to restore the sacked employees of the company immediately.
It is pertinent to mention here that KESC sacked over 4000 employees on Wednesday. On Thursday, KESC employees ransacked the offices of the company in protest against the management decision to fire the employees.
In a statement issued here, MQM chief threatened to launch a peaceful movement if the KESC management did not restore the sacked employees.
He condemned the KESC decision to fire employees, saying that it is tantamount of economic murder of the poor employees.
He demanded of the Prime Minister and President to take notice of the KESC management’s highhandedness with the employees.
