LAHORE – The law enforcement agencies carried out a raid on a bungalow in Defence Lahore, arresting two extortionists.
Sources said that the two men belonged to Liyari gang of Karachi and that they were involved in several similar criminal activities in Lahore.
The arrested extortionists had threatened the brother of provincial law minister Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, demanding Rs5 million.
Asad ur Rehman, the brother of law minister, owns his business in pharmaceutical industry. He had been receiving messages from unknown sources, threatening him of life in case the money was not given.
