LAHORE – The election tribunal of Pakistan has nullified the results of the NA-125 during the general election 2013, and directed to held the re-election in this constituency.
Khawaja Saad Rafique of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz won the election in the said constituency with high margin.
During the general election in 2013, Khawaja Saad Rafique took 123,000, while Hamid Khan of Pakistan Tehreek i Insaf took around 84,000 votes.
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf filed the petition against the rigging in the said constituency.
Election Tribunal, now, ordered to held the re-polling in the said constituency.
With this decision of the election tribunal Khawaja Saaf Rafique has lost seat of National Assembly, while Mian Naseer also lost the position of Provincial Assembly PP-155.
While PTI’s Hamid Khan lost the election with 39000 votes. But Now election tribunal has asked to hold re polls in the NA-125 and PP-155.
