Faisalabad: Karachi Dolphins reached into the final of the Faisal Bank Super Eight Twenty20 Tournament after defeating Sialkot Stallions in the second semifinal at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad on Thursday.
Captain Karachi Dolphins, Mohammad Sami, won the toss and chose to bat first. Karachi Dolphins scored 238 runs for the loss of five wickets in allotted 20 overs.
Ramiz Raja (Junior) and Asad Shafiq played superbly. Raja scored 97 runs while Asad Shafiq scored 91 runs not out. Fawad Alam and Sarfraz Ahmed scored 17 and 13 runs respectively.
Sarmand Anwar and Ali Khan grabbed two wickets each while skipper Malik took one wicket.
Sialkot Stallions managed to score 196 runs all out in the 19th over. Shoaib Malik scored 61 runs and Shahid Yousuf made 40 runs. While Ali Khan, Abdur Rehman and Adeel Malik scored 24, 21 and 13 runs respectively.
Sohail Khan took four wickets from Karachi Dolphins while Mohammad Sami and Azam Hussain shared two wickets each. Tanvir Ahmed and Harris Ayaz grabbed one wicket each.
Ramiz Raja (Junior) was declared man of the player owing to his outstanding batting performance.
