Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has directed the Foreign Office to provide a special plane to Azad Kashmir’s Prime Minister Sardar Atiq, who was earlier stopped at Islamabad airport, so that he could attend the OIC summit in Kazakhstan.
The prime minister directed the Foreign Office to make appropriate arrangements in Kazakhstan to facilitate the AJK prime minister.
Earlier, Atiq was stopped at airport when he was about to leave for Kazakhstan to participate in the Oraganisation of Islamic Conference (OIC)’s summit, here on Tuesday.
Atiq had told a private television that a Foreign Office massage was conveyed to him, directing not to leave for Kazakhstan as there was no need to participate in the summit.
The prime minister and president of the Muslim Conference (MC) has been criticising non-state political parties, including Pakistan’s ruling Peopl’s Party for their participation in the elections of Azad Jammu Kashmir.
