Islamabad: Azad Kashmir’s outgoing Prime Minister Sardar Atiq was stopped atĀ airportĀ when he was about to leave for Kazakhstan to participate in the Oraganisation of Islamic Conference (OIC)’s summit, here on Tuesday.
Atiq told a private television that a Foreign Office massage was conveyed to him, directing him not to leave for Kazakhstan as there was no need to participate in the summit. “It was humiliating and a big blow to Kashmir cause” he said, adding that there has been a representation of Kashmiris in the OIC summit where leadership of both sides of Kashmiris take part.
It is to mention here that the prime minister and president of the Muslim Conference (MC)Ā has beenĀ criticisingĀ non-state political parties, including Pakistan’s ruling Peopl’s PartyĀ for their participation in the elections of Azad Jammu Kashmir.
