KARACHI: The Medico Legal Officer of Karachi’s Jinnah hospital, Manzoor Memon and his driver have been shot dead by unidentified gunmen near Dehli Colony, police said.
According to the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shahla Qureshi, two unidentified shooters on motorbike opened fire on a car near Dehli Colony, killing MLO Jinnah hospital and his driver on the spot and fled from the scene.
The police reached the spot and collected evidences from the scene which included 9mm pistol bullets.
The deceased have been shifted to Jinnah hospital where autopsy will be carried out.
The police has lodged an F.I.R against two unknown assailants.
It will be shocking to mention here that as many as 130 doctors have been killed during last two years in the metropolis.
