KARACHI: Security plan has been released by the Traffic Police department on Monday designed for arrangements on New Year 2014 night in Karachi, the metropolis of Pakistan.

High-level officials have declared 6 prominent areas as ‘No Parking Zone’ on the December 31’s night going to be celebrated as New Year 2014.
Parking on the Shahrah-e-Faisal and Abdullah Haroon roads will not be allowed, according to the traffic police department.
Route plan for Karachittes on New Year night:
- Express Way and Korangi roads will be closed for the traffic going towards sea-view.
- Residents of DHA will be allowed to pass Express Way to Khayaban e Ittehad after showing their identity cards.
- Boat Basin round about to Bilawal house road will be closed for traffic.
- US consulate to Sub-marine round-about road will be blocked for traffic after 9:00 pm.
- Bilawal round-about to Clifton helipad road will be blocked for traffic.
- Korangi road will be closed completely from Sunset Boulevard till Punjab round-about.
- Maripur Road to Mai Kolachi road will be suspended for heavy vehicles.
- Heavy vehicles could take an alternate route through Jinnah Bridge to Hub River road or Shahrah-e-Faisal.
According to reports, pillion riding and without silencer bikes would be banned on the day from 7:00 pm (Pakistani time).
Authorities also asked the on-duty officers to arrest the persons creating chaos as well as exhibiting bike stunts in the metropolis.
Earlier, the Sindh government had decided to impose ban on pillion riding and without silencer bikes in Karachi during of New Year 2014 occasion.
According to TheNewsTribe reports, the Sindh government received summary about the imposition of ban over the pillion riding and bike stunts from the local administration.
Formal notification is still due to be released regarding ban on pillion riding after the final approval of the Chief Minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, governmental sources said.
According to sources, the ban notification would be effective immediately after its release while old citizens, women, children, journalists and security officials would be exempted from the ban.
