ISLAMABAD: Special closed-door meeting has been completed between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani , PTI Chief Imran Khan on Monday (today) in Islamabad .
Pakistan’s PM Nawaz Sharif and CAS Kayani organized a special closed door meeting in PM House Islamabad today on demand of PTI chief Imran Khan.
The Federal Information Minister Chaudhry Nisar and the Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) were also present in the meeting, sources said.
The DG ISI provided briefing to the participants of the meeting including Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif and General Kayani on the national issues while Chaudhry Nisar was also present on the event.
The PTI chief raised four important questions during the meeting before Pakistan’s PM Sharif and the top military officials, sources said.
Sources revealed that Imran Khan asked for commencement of peace talks with different groups of Taliban, moreover, he questioned pertaining reconciliation process, funding and weaponry supply details to the militant groups.
The four points earlier revealed by the PTI chief during a party convention in Lahore including abandoning the US war on terror, closure of drone attacks, initiation of peace talks with Taliban, military operations against particular groups who reject to join talks.
Khan urged that there is a need of Nelson Mandela’s type of reconciliation policies and military action against those militants should be taken who do not come to the negotiation table.
