IPOH, Malaysia: Pakistan’s chances to reach final of Azlan Shah Cup ended after their match with Malaysia ended in a 2-2 draw on Thursday.
Malaysia scored a goal in the 6th minute to take 1-0 lead. Pakistan levelled the score goal as quick as possible as Muhammad Imran made the most of a penalty corner in the 15th minute.
After first-half ended with a 1-1 score, Malaysia scored in the 52nd minute to take 2-1 lead.
Shafqat Rasool helped Pakistan to again draw the score in the 62nd minute.
Pakistan will now play Korea on Saturday.
Earlier, India’s hopes of qualifying for the final of the tournament also went up in smoke after New Zealand beat them 2-0.
