Islamabad: Naheed Khan, a displeased worker of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and right-hand person to slain PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto, on Monday submitted an application in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to register the party on his name.
According to the application submitted by Naheed Khan to Additional Secretary Afzal Khan, she was elected as president of the PPP while Fayaz Khan elected as General Secretary.
Naheed has also requested the ECP for arrow or sword as election symbol of the party.
Speaking to media at the occasion, Naheed expressed annoyance of the current leadership of the party said that workers were being deprived.
She said that she had informed Jahangir Badar through letter that she was going to register the party on her name. She added that she would take any possible step to save the party.
“I want to fulfill all the promises made by Benazir Bhutto,” she said.
