Islamabad: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said on Wednesday that spending on education would be the first and foremost priority of his party if given power.
Khan unveiled six-point education emergency policy of the PTI in launching ceremony of the PTI Education Policy Vision.
The PTI chief said that the party would increase the education budget from current 2.1 percent to 5 percent of the GDP over its five-year term and spend Rs. 2.5 trillion on the sector.
He said there would be one curriculum across the country under his term.
Khan said that education plays a pivotal role in the betterment of any society, therefore, the PTI considered it a very critical subject.
