Gaza: The Gaza Strip has been engulfed in violence as Israeli air strikes and artillery bombardments continue unabated. Reports indicate that at least three people were killed and several others injured in targeted attacks on residential areas, including the Tal as-Sultan neighborhood near Rafah and the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City.
In the north, heavy bombardment has struck the Jabalia refugee camp and the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, resulting in further casualties. Israeli warplanes intensified their assault by targeting residential buildings in the Mashrou neighborhood in Beit Lahiya.
The Gaza health ministry has reported a staggering death toll, with over 100 Palestinians killed and 176 wounded in the past 24 hours alone. Amid the relentless attacks, the besieged al-Awda Hospital near Jabalia refugee camp faces dire shortages, running out of drinking water.
Meanwhile, the enclave grapples with hunger as key crossings, including Rafah and Kerem Shalom, remain effectively blocked, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. The UN’s humanitarian chief has warned of “apocalyptic” consequences if aid shortages persist.
Since October 7, Israeli attacks on Gaza have claimed the lives of at least 35,562 people and wounded 79,652 others.
In response to the escalating violence, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court has announced the pursuit of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, and three Hamas leaders, signaling a significant development in the pursuit of justice amid the ongoing conflict.
