Islamabad: Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesman Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that the United Nation (UN) report regarding drone strikes is correct because these attacks have no legal position.
During a weekly media briefing on Thursday, Jilani said that the country Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar had also summoned the US Ambassador Richard Olson to record protest over the unmanned plan strikes.
To a query regarding media reports the CIA has given a free hand to conduct drone strikes in Pakistan, Jilani said that he did not comment over media reports.
He confirmed that they had requested the UN for inquiry over the drone strikes and said that the inquiry team of the UN was autonomous and had special mandate.
To another query regarding Pakistan-India LoC conflict, he said that both the neighbouring countries had reservations, adding that both the nations had mechanism to solve the LoC conflict.
