Mumbai: The Sri Lankan team has reached Mumbai to play final of the cricket World Cup 2011 against India at Wankhede Stadium on April 2.
Sri Lankan side led by Kumar Sangakkara defeated New Zealand by five wickets on Tuesday in Colombo in the first semifinal, Sri Lanka is all set to play its second successive final of the mega-event after finishing runner-up to Australia four years ago in the West Indies.
The Saturday’s clash would be the first-ever all-Asia final in the history of the tournament.
Meanwhile in the second semifinal, India defeated his traditional rival Pakistan by 29 runs at Punjab Association Cricket Stadium, Mohali on Wednesday.
