Lahore: The Punjab chapter of Young Doctors Association (YDA) has announced to end their strike after three days, here on Friday but set a deadline of six days for the provincial government to approve the demands.
The YDA went on strike after the arrest of doctors who tortured Dr Anwar Aman, Medical Superintendent (MS) of Gujranwala District Headquarters Hospital.
The doctors have boycotted the indoor departments, out patient departments and operation theatres, however, emergencies are still functional.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, the YDA Secretary Information said that all doctors would join their duties onwards from Saturday (Today).
The secretary demanded government to approve the new service structure, with increased salary and facilities, within next six days.
He further said that the next meeting of the association was summoned on Saturday to devise a policy if the government fails to approve their demands.
