Lahore: Punjab’s Chief Minister Shahbaz Shareef said that the prayers of Pakistani nation are with Malala Yousafzai and she would be with us soon.
“We are getting good news regarding her health and she is recovering at an incredibly fast rate,” he said in a statement issued on Malala Day.
“She will be with us soon and we will never forget what she did for the nation.”
Shahbaz said Malala was the nation’s daughter and we should be thankful to her. “We should all strive for a better society just like her.”
The United Nations is observing Malala Day today, honouring the courage of the 15-year-old child activist, who was shot in the head by the TTP militants in Swat, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa.
